For Jet2holidays, Sunvil, and Olympic Holidays, the “hidden gems” of our country are the “decoys” of their schedule for the upcoming 2024 tourist season. They have announced new destinations in the Mediterranean, including Symi, Kea, Milos, the Athenian Riviera, and the Riviera of Olympus. Holiday packages for these destinations have already been designed and sold throughout the UK, with tour operators promoting them extensively.
Jet2holidays has recently added four new European destinations to their summer 2024 schedule. These include two destinations in Greece, one in Portugal, and one in Croatia. The island of Symi and the Athenian Riviera are among the latest additions. According to Steve Heapy, the managing director of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, these new additions were made in response to customer demand and feedback from independent tour operators.
Jet2 will serve Symi from all 11 of its UK bases via Rhodes, where guests will spend the first night of their holiday before taking a ferry of around 90 minutes to Symi the following day.
Jet2 will offer a selection of three to five-star accommodations at eight coastal resorts in and around Athens, known as the Athenian Riviera. These resorts include Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Lagonisi, Anavissos, Sounio, Vravrona, Mati, and Marathon. Flights to Athens for the summer of 2024 will be available from Birmingham, Manchester, and Stansted, operating between 2 May and 31 October. With the inclusion of Symi and the Athenian Riviera, Jet2 will now serve 19 destinations across more than 100 routes to 14 Greek airports next summer.
