There are a lot of different options when it comes to tour tickets and Acropolis tours, so you can definitely find something that fits your needs. If you are short on time, you can get a skip-the-line ticket to Acropolis, which will allow you to save time by avoiding the long lines at the entrance. If you want to learn more about Acropolis and its history, several tours are available that will give you a detailed look at the site. No matter what you are looking for, there is definitely an Acropolis tour that is right for you.
Take your time walking around the archaeological site, soaking up the history and admiring the incredible views. Traveller's Tip: Don't touch the monument, its illegal. Also do not consider taking even a tiny pebble as a souvenir from the holy hill.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head down into the city for some traditional Greek food. Souvlaki or Pork Gyros with lots of tzatziki is a must-try! In the afternoon, stroll around Plaka, the oldest neighbourhood in Athens. Wander through the narrow streets, do some shopping and stop for a coffee or refreshment in one of the many picturesque cafes. If night finds you in Plaka, consider searching for a Greek Live Music with some meze and ouzo, you'll definitely have fun!

Start your second day with a visit to the National Archaeological Museum. This is one of the largest museums in Greece and definitely worth a couple of hours of your time. It houses some of the most important artefacts from Greek history, including the world’s first coin! After working up an appetite again, enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of Athens’ many outdoor cafes. In the afternoon, take a walk through the National Gardens. This is a great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The gardens are also home to the Greek parliament building, the Zappeion Mansion and the Athens National Library.
END YOUR DAY WITH A TRAM RIDE TO THE TOP OF LYCABETTUS HILL.
This is one of the best ways to see Athens! The tram takes you all the way to the top of Lycabettus Hill, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic city views. If you’re feeling energetic, you can walk back down the hill. Otherwise, the tram ride back down is just as impressive!
