December 7, 2023Taste Atlas has announced this year’s list of the top 84 fruits.From the fertile lands of Greece to the lush forests of Brazil, the world is home to a diverse array of fine fruits, each with unique taste, aroma and nutritional value. Tasteatlas’ list of the world’s top 84 fruits provides a fascinating insight into some of these delectable offerings. The top spot on the relevant list is held by Naoussa peaches, while at the same time Chios mandarins are also in the top ten.
The top three fruits
1. Naoussa peaches: Varieties such as May Crest, Spring Crest and Red Haven thrive in the country, thanks to the Mediterranean climate. These peaches are renowned for their rich aroma and sweet taste, making them a sought-after delicacy in Europe and the Arabian Peninsula from May to October.
2. Mangosteen : Known for its sweet taste, Mangosteen is a tropical treat. Its origin is found in the Sunda Islands and is distinguished by its dark purple shell and juicy white fruits.
3. Truskawka Kaszubska: These strawberries, in particular the Elsanta, Honeoye and Senga Sengana varieties, are grown in the Kartuski, Kościerski and Bytowski regions of Poland, offering a unique and fresh taste.
