Serifos , Light otherwise!
If you changed its tone, you would discover its mysterious allure. If you changed the penultimate letter, you'd see her in front of you. Serifos is a Seri-Fos (light) and that's why there is no one who has not submitted to this island.
It's the eternal dilemma: do you keep something beautiful just for yourself or do you give others the opportunity to have some of that beauty? With Serifos you can't help but share your experience.
To reach the island of Cyclops, as it is said to be Serifos, you will get on the ferry from Athens and in 5 hours you will be there (2.5 hours by fast train).
You will get off at the port located in Livadi area and go to your accommodation there to leave your luggage and then head towards Chora, where you will meet the first wave of beauty and enchantment of the island.
Serifos Famous Beaches
From here you will take the road to one of the 6 most famous beaches: Agios Sostis, Ganema, Sikamia, Psili Ammos, Livadakia, Vagia. All 6 of them combine sand with small pebbles, some have shady places, some don't, and some are located in a place where the north winds "hug" them tightly and ravenously.
If you are also a sightseeing person, Serifos is ideal because it has many places to see such as Psaropyrgos, the Cave of Cyclops and its mining facilities or its castles such as the Castle of Grias and the Castle in Chora.
Then, the wonderful food of the island comes to the fore. They are not Sifnos, but because they are next to each other, they share their culinary treasures and combinations. You'll eat fantastic chickpea here too, the marathogganites that are famous, sun-dried tomatoes and local cheese, but you'll get stuck with their pasta, matzo, and louza, which is a piece of pork that's been specially processed.

You'll go to Bakakaki, Achinos, Marathoriza, Metaleio and Aloni.
The entertainment on the island is nothing frantic, but Serifos has very descent cocktail options. Donkey, Hippie, Frangosyko, Karnakio and the Yacht Club are what locals will reccomend.
All of the above are small details in the big picture. Serifos has an aura that you really do think that when capitalism falls or you retire, you will go there to spend the last years of your life, perhaps discovering new aspects of yourself.
